Abstract
Description
The aim of this research was to explore the emotional realities of student teachers when dealing with classroom management during their social service placement. The participants of this study were 5 student teachers enrolled in the Online B.A. in English Teaching program of University of Veracruz. In this qualitative study, data was collected through interviews and analyzed using Grounded Theory. Findings suggest frustration and anxiety were the most common emotions experienced by student teachers, but that they are triggered by elements such as institutional pressures rather than factors within classes.
